Dr. Sabine Wellnitz, Head of Product Development Sabine Wellnitz became Head of Product Development in 2009 after joining the company in 2008. Already during her PhD, Sabine gained initial industry experience at Boehringer Mannheim. She later held research positions at Roche and Novartis, where she worked in the field of Alzheimer Disease (Roche) and in the development of a high-throughput screening test for GPCRs on the basis of VLPs (Novartis). Sabine is a molecular virologist with more than 14 years of experience and extensive knowledge in the area of protein expression, viral proteins and VLPs. Sabine holds a M.Sc. in Biology of the University Karlsruhe and a PhD from the University Freiburg. |

Nila-Pia Rähle, Head of Business Development Nila-Pia Rähle joined Redbiotec as Head of Business Development in April 2011 with a rich background in life sciences. Previously she worked at Ypsomed, a supplier to the pharmaceutical industry, and at Synthes. Through positions in Business Development, Key Account Management and International Product / Project Management, Nila gained extensive experience in international contract negotiations, key opinion leader/expert group management and alliance & project management. Nila holds a Master of Science degree in Biochemistry from the ETH Zurich and management education from INSEAD. |

Dr. Armando Zuniga, Head of Pre-Clinical Development Armando Zuniga joined Redbiotec as Head of Pre-Clinical Development in April 2009. He previously worked at Crucell / Berna Biotech Ltd. where he held a senior role in the Department of Recombinant Vaccines. Armando has substantial experience in the fields of vaccines and immunology. His scientific work includes projects in the areas of Measles reverse genetics and development of recombinant vaccine against HIV-1, malaria and SARS. Armando holds a veterinary medical degree (Dr. med. vet.) of the Institute of Veterinary Bacteriology of the University of Zurich, Switzerland. |
